Part time Payroll Specialist - Sylmar, CA


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with processing new hire paperwork, setting up employee number with proper union craft and class.
• Print timesheets and manually enter time data into payroll software.
• Follow up with timekeepers to ensure accuracy; research and resolve discrepancies.
• Work with payroll administrator on any and all other timekeeping/data entries for weekly payroll processing.
• Assist in sorting, printing and mailing of weekly payrolls.

This is an opportunity to advance your payroll administration skills by practicing what you already know in a fast paced environment and learning new skills regarding craft and class for a heavy highway contractor. The position requires 16-19 hours per week, including all day Tuesdays and Wednesdays, approximately 8:00 a.m to 4:30 p.m. with a half hour lunch break (morning and afternoon 10 minute breaks included). You will be working with an experienced payroll administrator and have clear direction each day what your priorities are. Hourly wage (non-exempt) will depend upon prior experience. Candidates must have one plus year of experience.


Tech Support Assistant - Sylmar, CA


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Hardware related*
• Understand basic Networking, TCP/IP
• Be able to provide basic Desktop Hardware Support
• Setting up new computers, configuring computer hardware, operating
systems, printers, and scanners
• Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving
hardware issues

• Troubleshooting smart phones, tablets, and other connected devices

*Software related*
• Ability to provide Basic Software Support
• Installing basic software systems
• Diagnosing and solving software related issues within reach
• Ability to clearly communicate software issues to the IT manager,
in-house or 3rd party and follow-up until issue is resolved.
• Ability to do research and find software or hardware solutions as needed.
• Proficient at Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook,

• Ability to work well within a group and independently
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Provide easy-to-understand explanations and instructions to non-techies
• Patiently train others on how to use specific technology
• Must be extremely organized and Detail oriented

• Excellent Documentation skills
• Must have CA driver’s license
• Permit to work in the USA

detail
