POSITION: Sales Representative
Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Sales Representative to drive sales of Base, Sand and Concrete Recycling. This role focuses on building strong relationships with contractors, builders, suppliers, and distributors while providing expert guidance on product selection and applications. The ideal candidate has experience in construction materials, strong communication skills, and a proven sales track record.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and identify prospects from current clients, referral leads, and other sources to ensure sales goals are achieved.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, including contractors, builders, landscapers, and wholesalers.
- Provide customers with accurate product information, technical guidance, pricing, and quotes.
- Conduct on-site visits to assess customer needs, project requirements, and product fit.
- Assist the sales team in obtaining market information on existing construction materials from competitors, including Base, Sand, and Concrete Recycling, to understand their capabilities and offerings.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare sales forecasts, activity reports, and market analyses.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and training sessions to stay updated on product developments and construction trends.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in construction material sales (concrete, aggregates, asphalt or similar preferred).
- Strong understanding of aggregate materials, and installation applications.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings or blueprints (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to visit job sites regularly.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Proficient in CRM systems, quoting tools, and basic computer applications.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of sales experience, ideally in construction or building materials.
Work Environment:
- Combination of field work and office-based responsibilities.

POSITION: Construction Safety Manager
Job Overview:
The Safety Quality Control Manager will implement and enforce safety policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment and reduce the risk of injury.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm workers compliance with project substance abuse requirements
- Conduct on-site new project orientation
- Conduct or attend pre-planning sessions for high hazard work such as excavations, demolition, fall protection, confined space entry, false-work, crane hoisting, high-risk utilities.
- Conduct weekly job site safety meetings.
- Review work schedules including pre-planning, to ensure adequacy of job hazard analyzes, work processes, addressing any safety or health concerns associated with the work product.
- Ensure SDS’s and hazard communication programs are available understood and onsite for informing workers of material hazards.
- Conduct daily safety inspections of the job site for hazards and compliance with safety requirements of the project, Cal/OSHA, MSHA or other applicable regulatory specifications.
- Document safety inspections in active construction work areas using site safety inspection/observation checklist.
- Review lane closure traffic control and reports by traffic control technicians and supervisors for any work zone related safety issues.
- Investigate any near misses or reported incidents in a timely manner and take appropriate action to prevent similar incidents in the future.
- Prepare a daily safety status report that includes:
Daily Construction Activities
Safety Related field activities
Safety deficiencies and corrective action
Meetings, conversations, and other related safety issues
Any reported near misses or incidents
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of related safety experience in Heavy Civil Construction
- Knowledge of Caltrans specifications and plans, Cal/OSHA policy and procedures, California Code of Regulations Title 8 safety requirements and MSHA specifications.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Cal/OSHA 30-hour construction training course
- Traffic Control Supervisor Certification.
- Certified Safety Professional, Construction Health and Safety Technician, or Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician designation (Preferred)
- Current certification in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)/First Aid from Red Cross or equivalent.

Working environment:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee regularly works on construction sites where the employee may be exposed to cranes, heavy mobile equipment, vehicular traffic, high precarious places, confined spaces, inclement weather, excavations, with occasional night and/or weekend work.

POSITION: Project Engineer
Responsibilities:
Field Operations:
· Assisting with surveying, testing, sample collection, drawing correction and filing, check material deliveries
· Assisting with time keeping and cost control, inventory control, schedule checking, subcontractor monitoring
· Assisting with report preparation, safety inspections, submittal logging and processing
· Observing and reporting results of meeting, conducting site tours for visitors
Office Operations:
· Preparing quantity take-offs, calling vendors and subcontractors for proposals
· Checking drawings and specifications for completeness, discrepancies, etc.
· Attending bid opening, conferences, etc. and taking notes, making records, completing forms
· Assisting with project record keeping, preparing shop drawings, assisting with cost control records
Project Management:
· Assisting project managers and superintendents at as high a responsibility as practical
· Coordinating sub-contractor activities, verifying work and recommending progress payments, inspecting
· Obtaining permits and licenses, checking zoning and code requirements, designing temporary facilities
· Arranging for utility services, conducting safety inspections and training, supervise punch-list activities
· Expediting material deliveries, assisting in documenting and preparing claims
· Verifying work hours, materials and other elements necessary for updating database files
· Preparing briefing chart and formal reports, etc.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management
· Internships or experience in construction highly preferred
· Excellent verbal communication skills - dealing with multiple supervisors and sub-trades
· Basic knowledge of construction specifications, methods and procedures
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
· Ability to apply basic engineering principles to construction challenges
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment potentially reporting to many different people
