POSITION:     Construction Coordinator

Job Overview:

Construction Coordinator will assist Project Manager and act as a liaison between project managers, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:

  • Assist in planning and scheduling construction activities.
  • Ensure that project milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Monitor project progress and report updates to management.
  • Coordinate logistics, including material deliveries and equipment rentals.

Communication & Liaison:

  • Serve as the point of contact between contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers.
  • Facilitate communication between field and office teams.
  • Ensure that all project stakeholders are informed of changes and updates.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain and update project documentation, including contracts, permits, and blueprints.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Assist in preparing reports, budgets, and schedules.

Budget & Resource Management:

  • Monitor expenses to ensure adherence to project budgets.
  • Assist in procurement and inventory management of materials.
  • Track and verify invoices and payments related to construction work.

Quality & Safety Assurance:

  • Ensure construction work meets quality standards and project specifications.
  • Identify and address potential safety hazards on-site.
  • Work with site supervisors to enforce safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in construction coordination or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, or MS Project).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

POSITION:     Construction Yard Person/Dispatcher

Job OverviewThe Construction Yard Person/Dispatcher will play a crucial role in managing logistics and ensuring smooth operations in our Goleta, Ca yard. 

Responsibilities essential to this position include:

  • Inspecting and ticketing incoming truckloads of rubble
  • Coordinating the loading with operator and ticketing of outgoing aggregates.
  • Communication with the customers regarding delivery.
  • Responsible for maintenance activities in the yard facility.
  • Maintaining, organizing, and cleaning yard facility.
  • Loading and unloading from trucks with materials on job sites
  • Perform various company errands and tasks as requested.
  • Must have valid driver license with clean driving record.

Job Location: Goleta, Ca

Hours: Monday-Friday 6:00 am to 3 pm, Occasional OT during the week and weekends (Saturdays).

Pay Range: $20-$23 per hour

POSITION:    Construction Safety Manager

Job Overview:

The Safety Quality Control Manager will implement and enforce safety policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment and reduce the risk of injury.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Confirm workers compliance with project substance abuse requirements
  • Conduct on-site new project orientation
  • Conduct or attend pre-planning sessions for high hazard work such as excavations, demolition, fall protection, confined space entry, false-work, crane hoisting, high-risk utilities.
  • Conduct weekly job site safety meetings.
  • Review work schedules including pre-planning, to ensure adequacy of job hazard analyzes, work processes, addressing any safety or health concerns associated with the work product.
  • Ensure SDS’s and hazard communication programs are available understood and onsite for informing workers of material hazards.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections of the job site for hazards and compliance with safety requirements of the project, Cal/OSHA, MSHA or other applicable regulatory specifications.
  • Document safety inspections in active construction work areas using site safety inspection/observation checklist.
  • Review lane closure traffic control and reports by traffic control technicians and supervisors for any work zone related safety issues.
  • Investigate any near misses or reported incidents in a timely manner and take appropriate action to prevent similar incidents in the future.
  • Prepare a daily safety status report that includes:

Daily Construction Activities

Safety Related field activities

Safety deficiencies and corrective action

Meetings, conversations, and other related safety issues

Any reported near misses or incidents

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of related safety experience in Heavy Civil Construction
  • Knowledge of Caltrans specifications and plans, Cal/OSHA policy and procedures, California Code of Regulations Title 8 safety requirements and MSHA specifications.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Cal/OSHA 30-hour construction training course
  • Traffic Control Supervisor Certification.
  • Certified Safety Professional, Construction Health and Safety Technician, or Occupational   Hygiene and Safety Technician designation (Preferred)
  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)/First Aid from Red Cross or equivalent.

Working environment:

While performing the duties of the job, the employee regularly works on construction sites where the employee may be exposed to cranes, heavy mobile equipment, vehicular traffic, high precarious places, confined spaces, inclement weather, excavations, with occasional night and/or weekend work.

Salary: $100,000- $120,000 Per Year. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, education, credentials, and Licensure when applicable.

POSITION:   Junior Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Manager with field and project engineering, quality control, contract administration, shop drawing review, submittals,    RFI’s, scheduling, and related support functions.
  • Assist Project Manager and Project Superintendent in establishing the construction plan and engineering methods.
  • Assist with material procurement and invoice approval.
  • Coordinate and review drawings, submissions, specifications, changes and document control.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the project schedule and costing system.
  • Prepare and track monthly quantities, progress payments and estimates.
  • Subcontract administration – defining scope of work, answering inquiries, monitoring progress, tracking and processing payments.
  • Designing temporary works and inspection.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of related experience (preferred but not required)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to complete and prioritize tasks on multiple concurrent projects within given timeframes.
  • Sound administrative and management skills.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, reasoning abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Results-oriented.
