I-15 Express Lanes Design-Build

Location: Riverside County, CA

Client: Skanska/Ames Joint Venture

The I-15 Express Lanes Design-Build consists of two tolled Express Lanes in each direction of I-15 in Riverside County between the I-15/Cajalco Road interchange and the I-15/SR 60 interchange. A 15-mile stretch, these lanes go through the cities of Corona, Norco, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, and portions of unincorporated Riverside County. The majority of the improvements were constructed within the median and Caltrans right-of-way, under a contract with Riverside County Transportation Commission.  

Security Paving was responsible for all Jointed Plain Concrete Pavement (JCPC) and barrier rail for the project. We used our portable batch plants to ensure that quality was maintained for the work that we placed on the project and reduce truck trips.
