SR 178 Fairfax Road Interchange

This project widened SR 178 with a new interchange at Fairfax Road, upgrading it from a signalized intersection. The scope include a new overcrossing with on- and off-ramps. Fairfax and Auburn, two local streets, were also both widened. The project included overcrossing, 30-foot retaining walls, import and export, and lowered SR 178 by approximately 25 feet.

The project affected approximately 40 residential properties, requiring the construction of new soundwall to mitigate noise. Security Paving was also required to coordinate with all of the various residents in order to construct the shoring to keep their backyards, pools, and patios intact without negative impacts. Once construction was completed, Security Paving worked with the property owners to restore their backyards.
