Performs complex administrative and outreach functions in Human Resources and Equal Employment Opportunity. Work requires reviewing, preparing and maintaining confidential information. Work requires contact with current and former employees, high-level executives, and other human resources representatives. Requires managing multiple tasks and competing deadlines.

 

Duties

The essential duties for this job include:

  • Gives presentations to all jobsites concerning ethics and equal employment opportunity policies and laws.
  • Keeps applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures up to date.
  • Prepares, reviews, monitors, audits, explains and processes correspondence, reports, forms, transactions and maintains confidentiality of sensitive issues
  • Assists Risk Manager in Worker’s Compensation, GL, Auto, and Caltrans claims.
  • Processes all subpoenas for applicable claims.
  • Assists in conducting inquiries for internal allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in the workplace, including scheduling interviews and typing accurate notes during interviews.
  • Maintains DMV Pull Notice Program, driver list, and ensures validity of medical certificates for applicable employees.
  • Maintains Random Drug Screen list and processes quarterly drug screen selections.
  • Ensures compliance of required postings at each jobsite.
  • Performs all EEO audits and ACA reporting.
  • Handles all new administrative onboarding including drafting offer letters, handling new paperwork, explaining healthcare selection, etc.
  • Sends out EEO paperwork and employee handbook to all new field employees each month.
  • Reviews all EDD notices.
  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.

Education

This job requires the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree.

 

Work Experience Expectations

  • 3 years in Human Resources-related work activities
  • (Experience can be satisfied by full-time or prorated part-time equivalent)
  • Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year per year basis.

 

Licenses and Certifications

The following Licenses and/or Certifications are required for this job:

  • Valid Driver's license
